I've finished the first 25 shirts of my 52 Shirts project. You can see them all at my blog and read the accompanying post for each design. If you want to buy one, you can get them all at my Threadless store.
Sometimes at the end of a long day, you need to snuggle in on the couch with a glass of bourbon and watch The Wrath of Khan.
In a coffee shop this morning, trying to catch up on my NaNoWriMo word count.
Forgot to post this week's shirt on Micro.Blog. A flashback to our first Christmas tree, and how we got it home...
NaNoWriMo is going pretty well. I'm slightly behind on word count from where I want to be, but I had a busy weekend planned and figured that would be the case. Really looking to get a lot of writing done this week.
Angry Moderate. It's tough being in the middle of today's hyper-partisan political environment. With some state and local elections this week, I figured it was time for a political shirt.
Not a bad first day writing for NaNoWriMo. I didn't write as much as I wanted to, but I made some key decisions that will make it easier to write going forward.
I've decided that I'm going to participate in NaNoWriMo. Giving up all social media – except for Micro.Blog – for the month of November in an attempt to carve out time for writing. Wish me luck.
My love of science fiction started with Star Wars. This week's shirt is Duel, inspired but the Obi-Wan/Death Vader lightsaber fight in the original Star Wars.
It worked perfectly in my head. The rough sketches looked good. And now that I've built the design in Illustrator, I don't like it. Back to the drawing board.
Getting used to a new schedule. My first week not having to drop kids off to school or daycare in the morning. The first major change to my morning routine in 13 years. Feels really strange...
I'm seriously contemplating writing a novel for NaNoWriMo this November. I've got a solid idea and I'm excited, but I'm wondering if I can carve the time out of my already busy life to write 50,000 words.
I'm continuing my project to design a shirt every week and blog about my creations. This week's shirt is Fancy.
People seem bothered by the holograms on Star Trek Discovery. I think it's the right creative choice.
LinkedIn's algorithm thinks I'm a good fit for a job 45 minutes away selling cosmetics at a department store.
Most of my notifications are already turned off, but I enjoyed this take from writer/editor Nathan Bransford on why turning notifications off is the way to go...
Writing a post on my own site to post to Micro.Blog is different. I refine and edit more than I would for Twitter or Facebook, because it lives on my site. Another nice side effect of hosting my own microblog.
Introvert is the 17th design in my 52 Shirts project.
